I’ve had trouble with this a few times lately. A process called syslogd starts using massive system resources, slows everything down, and makes my fans go crazy. It seems to be a common problem.
Apparently the system log file was becoming huge. Deleting it seems to help:
sudo rm /var/log/asl.db

Ron Paul on the economic state of America.
“America, with her traditions of free markets and property rights, led the way toward great wealth and progress throughout the world as well as at home. Since we have lost our confidence in the principles of liberty, self reliance, hard work and frugality, and instead took on empire building, financed through inflation and debt, all this has changed. This is indeed frightening and an historic event.”
Take a listen to the first three tracks on the Myspace, recorded yours truly at my house. These three are going on a split with Geraldo! whenever they finally get their stuff together.
Both bands were recorded at my house. Should be a pretty fun disc.
Round of applause for my friend and website-making partner Matt Pruitt for scoring the support job for the wonderful GitHub.
It’s a pretty big deal.
Send all your complaints to him now.
I still think that’s a strange picture, but he insists on using it for everything. Whatever gets the ladies…
This is an awesome free album put out by Ghostly International and Adult Swim. Lots of good electronic music on here, and it features a live mix by Tycho.
I think my favorite track is Light Powered by Daestro, but I’m only about one and a half listens in.
The whole album seems terribly squashed, but it’s probably appropriate for the style.
I love these icons so much. Check out both packs of application icons and the system pack. I was using the system pack for a while but dropped it in favor of these. They are a lot easier to look at a huge list of.
My dock is full of the stickers right now, and I really like the look of it. Unifies things a little bit.
I especially like the look of the System Preferences replacement

and the Mail icon

I think they’re my favorite application icons to date, but I wish people would widen their color palette a little bit. Docks too often have way too much blue.
